2KGrey Ambassador- Alexa Derr- All American Girl
By Ariana Curcio
Meet 2KGrey’s bright, young star, Alexa Derr. Alexa, a native of Reinholds, Pennsylvania, is graduating Albright College this December with a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing. She commutes to school so she can continue to train out of her home farm, Vue de Lou Stables.
She is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist and was one of the 15 inaugural members of the Dressage4Kids’ Winter Intensive Training Program run by Lendon Gray. While in Florida for the WIT Program, Alexa learned the intricacies of the FEI levels and high performance horse management. With her leased horse, Just Livingston, she was named the Florida Youth Championship FEI Young Rider Champion, represented Region 1 as a Young Rider at NAJYRC, competed at the USEF Festival of Champions placing 6th overall, competed at Dressage at Devon for two years placing 3rd overall in 2014, and was the 2014 JR/YR champion of Intermediate 1 and PSG at the Region 1 championships. After her lease on Just Livingston was over, Alexa found herself looking for a young horse to start, but a special opportunity changed her path.
In late January 2015, Versace N. was donated to Dressage4Kids by Everglades Dressage, LLC. Versace sustained an injury prior to the donation so Alexa was chosen as the rider to rehab the horse and get him back to the FEI levels. Versace is a 14 year-old Dutch Warmblood by Sandro Hit out of Harina (Ulft). Alexa competed him in the 2016 season at 4th and Prix St. George Levels. The duo had much success this year earning several high point awards and ended the season reserve champion and 4th place in the CBLM 4th level Jr/Yr and PSG Division A championships respectively. Alexa and Versace will be heading to Florida after graduation to work with her coach, Eiren Crawford. We are so please to have Alexa representing 2KGrey and look forward to watching her future blossom.

Not only are the breeches stylish, but they also hold up to everyday training and whatever life throws at you. Those that know me know that I am not your average dressage rider. I love all things country, American and denim and you rarely see me not representing one of those elements. When I was first introduced to 2kGrey’s denim breeches, I knew I had to have them. These denim breeches are more comfortable and flexible than regular skinny jeans and a heck of a lot more fun… BUT jeans aren’t the only thing 2kGrey designs and sells. The quality of the breeches carries over to their show jackets, denim jackets, t-shirts, belts, hats, and totes, too! There really is something for everyone’s style preferences: conservative to daring.
